it's an amazing way to "display" a sewing machine THAT old- I have been blessed with two that are both a, let's say, TAD more UPDATED- but i have an old Singer crank machine and i like the idea of paying homage to it versus storing it or selling it.good one.

Depressing the tail releases the beak enabling the fabric to be repositioned or removed. Before the invention of the sewing machine, clothing, sheets, and other household items were sewn by hand, this handy little clamp was often used for hemming.
