12 amazingly quirky pods for campers -

Every year, UrbanCampsite Amsterdam invites 12 designers to create art installations in an unlikely place in Amsterdam. Here's the catch -- each installation has its own bed that campers can rent for the night. This one, called the Superfire Camp, has its own outdoor fire pit surrounded by a red lounger and a hot tub. Inside the cabin/sea beacon is a circular bed that sleeps two.

<p>The communal area of UrbanCampsite has a herb garden, open kitchen and fire pit. Nine first-year students from the International Business School of Amsterdam have designed the area, which they called "Kwiezien". The purpose of their project is to encourage interaction between the campers and they have built the space entirely our of recycled materials. In the event of bad weather, a roof can be pulled over the space, and any rainwater is collected for the herb garden.</p> <p>These…
