A beautiful depiction of the Agony in The Garden, his great moment of Agony and abandonment. truthhimself.blogspot.c At three o’clock, implore My mercy, and if only for a brief moment, immerse yourself in My Passion, particularly in My abandonment at the moment of agony. In this hour, I will refuse nothing to the soul that makes a request of Me in virtue of My Passion (1320). St. Faustina's Diaries.

Matthew 27: Not long after the remorse and death of Judas, Pilate turned Jesus over to the Jews, stating: "“I am innocent of this Man’s blood; see to that yourselves.” And all the people said, “His blood shall be on us and on our children!” Then he released Barabbas for them; but after having Jesus scourged, he handed Him over to be crucified.

Holy Martyress Paraskeva (Piatnitsa; 3rd cent Iconeum) came from a rich, pious family and was named after Friday, the day of Christ’s Passion. She took a vow of celibacy and wanted to spread the faith. Pagans delivered her to the governor. Refusing to sacrifice to pagan gods, she was bound to a tree and torn with iron nails. God healed her lacerated body. She was tortured again and finally beheaded. Prayers to her heal people and animals such as cattle. She is celebrated Oct 28.
