Fall bushhogging the main field before house construction.

Let me preface that this is not my house 😊. Brian and I enjoy strolling the neighborhood admiring homes and to our surprise, Ava loves it, too. Therefore, it has become a family activity. Our neighborhood is usually filled with old homes but this new build fits quite nicely here [edited to credit the builder Reuter/Walton and @peterssenkellerarchitecture]. Shed dormers are always a classic and add variation to the exterior. And I'm loving the turning of colors on the leaves out front…

OLDEST HOUSE - The Fairbanks House in Dedham, Massachusetts was built between 1637 & 1641 making it the oldest surviving timber-frame house in North America. Puritan settler Jonathan Fairebanke constructed the farm house for his wife Grace (Lee Smith) & their family. The oldest section of the house was completed by at least 1641, based on dendrochronology of several beams in the house. The summer beam has been dated to 1637, & other wall boards & beams were dated to 1638, 1640 & 1641.
