I would like to be here right now, indulging on succulent lobster and drinking tall tumblers full of lemonade, then spending a lazy afternoon people watching and scribbling in notebooks on some rustic deck in Hyannis Harbor, Cape Cod. Thanks to Greg Hinson for sharing this lovely capture on his Flickr pages. -- Eve.
A 1781 Yorktown canon used in the Revolutionary War and the War of 1812, owned by Roger Stark of Louisville, is lit by fireworks following the concert by The United States Army Field Band at the McKinley National Memorial. This and other canons were fired during the 1812 Overture.
