Classic Macaroni Salad

Classic Macaroni Salad {direct link} ..been making this for decades. Absolutely the best out there. The original called for regular yellow mustard. I use that and salad pasta instead of elbow macaroni, sub ½ c sliced black olives for the bell pepper, 1 chopped green onion (tops included) instead of the chopped onion, add 2 chopped hard-boiled eggs & omit the sugar.

Host a gourmet tasting party with mini plates and bowls that hold just enough for one. I eat like a starving piggy every year this very week. We always make way too much food for the Super Bowl and never want any of it to go to waste. So what do we do? Eat it, of course. For breakfast, lunch and dinner until it's gone. Yay for not being wasteful but boo for over-indulging. Our menu was well-rounded and so delicious this year.

7 Layered Salad, {Granny's Recipe}

7 Layered Salad, "Granny's Recipe" I add a layer of hard cooked eggs before the mayonnaise and sprinkle the mayo with a couple tablespoons of sugar. It helps the dressing liquify somewhat to seep down into the vegie layers. To save time, I purchase "real" bacon bits to top the salad.
