Teriyaki sauce: 2 tbsp sake, ¼ cup mirin (sweet Japanese Rice wine), ¼ cup soy sauce, 2 tbsp light brown sugar, 2 tsp grated fresh ginger, 4 sliced spring onions, white part only. Whisk it all together and use as marinade or cook down for thicker sauce.
Marinated Beef Kabobs ... I like to do the meat on one skewer and all veggies on another so each can be grilled for the best result. Basamati or Jasmine (a bit sweeter) rice is my favorite base ... yuck with traditional short grain white rice = no flavor or texture.
