So true! I think he tried to love me, but he was so broken and insecure inside that he just wasn't really capable. He definitely loved what I did for his ego, but he doesn't really love me, not the way my  true friends do. Who on earth starts a new 'permanent' relationship *3 months* after the ending of a 10 year marriage?? Someone too crippled by fear and self-loathing to spend time healing on his own. He isn't really healed, and doesn't really love. Maybe one day he can, but not any time…
