When the pedestrian stands behind them, as if to look over their shoulders, they step aside to allow him a view onto what they’re looking at. The pedestrian can now see part of the unfolding scene, and he obscures the view for the other pedestrians.'
Murmur Study, Christopher Baker :: This is an installation that examines the rise of micro-messaging technologies such as Twitter. This installation consists of 30 thermal printers that continuously monitor Twitter for new messages containing variations on common emotional utterances. Messages containing variations on words expressing emotins, are printed as a waterfall of text accumulating in tangled piles below.
