The Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures action Western film "Lone Ranger" is now filming in the Los Angeles area, after completing principal photography in New Mexico, Colorado, and Utah. The extras casting director is seeking Mexican and Native American Women, Children, and elderly Men to work on the film as fully paid featured background performers. The scenes to be filmed will recreate an 1800's Comanche village.

TxDot has closed the I-35 northbound exit ramps to 4th and 5th Streets and University Parks Drive (Exit 335-B) for bridge deck and rail repairs. These ramps will remain closed during the duration of the work which is expected to be completed on August 23, 2016. There also will be lane closures for the repair work, so expect travel delays. Please take 8th Street (Exit 334-B) when visiting us from the South (Austin, San Antonio...).

Rex Crawford completed this buckle for the 28th Trappings of Texas Custom Cowboy Gear and Western Art Exhibit in Alpine, Texas. It features sterling-on-sterling construction with rose gold accents, the buckle includes hand engraving of flowing scroll pattern, a couple of tried-and-true border treatments, and several flowers with leaves.
