Knappogue Castle was built in 1467 by Sean MacNamara, and is a magnificent example of a medieval tower house. It has a long and varied history ~ from a battle field to a dwelling place. In 1571 the Castle became the seat of the MacNamara Clan ~ Earls of West Clancullen.
Castel Requesens - Catalonia, - Probably existing since the 9th century, the castle is mentioned for the first time in the 11th century. In the 19th century, the ruined castle was rebuilt in a neo-medieval style
Dunalastair is an estate which lies along the River Tummel between Tummel Bridge to the east, and Kinloch Rannoch to the west. It was home to Clan Donnachaidh, which includes names such as Duncan, Robertson, and Reid. The estate contains the burial ground of the chiefs of the Clan Donnachaidh -- Aberdeenshire
