Kaisers Ice Cream Parlor was established in Oklahoma City 1910. The company moved to this location in 1918. The building is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Kaisers Ice Cream Parlor closed in 1990. From 1994-2010, the building housed the Grateful Bean Café. Since 2010, Kaiser's American Bistro has operated here. In 2014, Kaisers closed when the building suffered damaged from construction next door. It's not clear when or if it will reopen.

On Nov. 10, 1975, the Arthur M. Anderson, trailing 9 miles behind the Edmund Fitzgerald, made radio contact shortly before 7:10pm in a wild gale and blizzard ravaging Lake Superior. Big Fitz gave no indication of distress, but within minutes, her lights disppeared, and she no longer showed on radar. Like other long boats in November storms, Big Fitz had broken in two and sank quickly taking her full crew of 29 to the bottom.
