'Hot places' Another amazing class was with Alysn Midgelow-Marsden where we played with metals. This piece has sections of stainless steel mesh that has been burnished with a brulee torch! The copper curves echo the metallic nature of the piece. The stitching is reminiscent of lichens that grow in hot and exposed places. The addition of earthy twigs and silk embroidery bring it back to earth.
