Easy to make and use up scraps of fabric. All sorts of uses including: bread basket, cutlery tray, stationery box, (for cards etc), desk top tidy, jewellery keeper (so you don't lose all the small bits), every day make-up container, bathroom bits. I use mine for keeping my scissors, pincushion, tape measure, tailor's chalk etc in when I am sewing
Starting with a bodice of coffee dyed wool felt, we hand sew on a skirt of shredded lace and muslin strips. These too are coffee dyed and ribbons and more lace are added as well as rivet to add droplets of findings . Stamped images and lettering add even more personality.
Scrap Fabric Tree Tutorial @H is for Handmade: As promised, here is a nice little craft to start off your already busy week! I used items that I already had on hand so I actually didn't need to buy any of the supplies. But if you do, it still would be pretty inexpensive. This craft also only took me 40 minutes to complete so it may even be something you can fit into your festive schedule!
