He joined the Army Rangers and served several tours in combat before he died in the mountains of Afghanistan. The Army at first reported that Tillman had been killed by enemy fire... The actual cause of Tillman's death was later ruled... as friendly fire.

Army Spc. Erica P. Alecksen, 21, of Eatonton, Georgia. Died July 8, 2012, serving during Operation Enduring Freedom. Assigned to 978th Military Police Company, 93rd Military Police Battalion, Fort Bliss, Texas. Died of wounds suffered when enemy forces attacked her unit in Maidan Shahr, Wardak Province, Afghanistan, with an improvised explosive device.
Navy SEAL Adam Brown was killed in action in Komar Province, Afghanistan on March 16, 2010. Adam Brown's story is one of redemption, strength, determination and especially faith. He overcame many extreme hurdles by the grace of God and rose all the way to SEAL Team 6. Eric Blehm wrote a book on Brown called "Fearless." It is worth reading.
CLEVELAND, Ohio-- The police officer killed in a hit-and-run crash on I-90 West Tuesday morning had been on the Cleveland police force since 2014. David Fahey's uncle and grandmother say David was a Navy veteran who loved helping others and being a police officer. They say he will be greatly missed.
