Mount Washington, NH Mount Washington is the highest peak in the Northeastern United States at 6,288 ft and the most prominent mountain east of the Mississippi River. It is famous for dangerously erratic weather.
At Wildcat Mountain experience NH’s ZipRider and soar ½-mile over trees, trails and the Peabody River at speeds up to 45 mph! Then leisurely ride the Wildcat Express Gondola Skyride to the 4,000+ foot summit of Wildcat Mountain. Views of Mt. Washington, Tuckerman Ravine, and Presidential Range offer memories, a unique picnic, and great photo opportunities.
"Kancamagus Highway is located in New Hampshire. A beautiful, 34-mile highway, connecting the towns of Lincoln and Conway, was first opened in 1959, and serves as one of the most beautiful scenic roads in the United States. Not only does it form a major east/west connecting route through the White Mountain National Forest, but it provides access to dozens of popular hiking trails in the National Forest."
OLD MAN OF THE MOUNTAIN, Franconia Notch, NH. On May 3, 2003, during the night the Old Man slipped off his perch on the side of Cannon Mountain and fell to the rocks below. It was over in an instant, but the memories will last for a lifetime. He use to look over Franconia Notch, a natural stone formation that still is the state symbol. It was held in place with steel cables and turnbuckles but time finally caught up with it.
