No Child Left Behind has turned many schools in to test sore factories. The blog post is an account on the social damages that could be coming from NCLB. Its true that if the focus in on the achievement and not the learning, we have to ask what will happen when these students must "show their work" in the real life job. Its not just about the outcome, but in many cases NCLB is creating the goal.
This is something I did in my classroom this year when I was talking to my preschool class about how we are all different, yet the same. It is a wall display of the children in my preschool classroom. The children were asked to search for their own eyes and when the parents came in later that day, I asked them to find their child's eyes too!
