Explore Italianate Village, Sir Clough and more!

The beautiful Italianate village of Portmeirion, Gwynedd, North Wales, was designed by architect Sir Clough Williams-Ellis and built over a 50 year period from 1925.

I loved visiting Portmeirion in Wales because it's made from a collection of odd bits and architectural fragments, rescued from places all over Europe. It was the brainchild of Sir Clough Williams-Ellis who built it during the period from 1925 to 1975. His daughter Susan was the designer of Portmeirion china.

Took a wrong turn in the city yesterday n fell in love with the area I got lost in... Beautiful old brownstones everywhere! Gorgeous architecture... I was in double door heaven!!
