Explore Mohammad Reza, Tehran and more!

Princess Fawzia Fuad of Egypt, first wife of Mohammad Reza Pahlavi, the last Shah of Iran, and Queen from 1941 until they divorced in 1948.

This is Princess Fawzia’s Tiara. Her parents, King Fuad I of Egypt and Queen Nazli, commissioned it from Van Cleef & Arpels for Fawzia’s 1939 wedding to Mohammad Reza Pahlavi, the Crown Prince (and later Shah) of Iran. The tiara features pear-shaped and baguette-cut diamonds in multiple rows arranged to look like a halo. See a new tiara every Tuesday on #tiaratuesday
