The Last Supper of Sant'Apollonia. By Andrea del Castagno (or Andrea di Bartolo di Bargilla) (c. 1421 – 19 August 1457) He was an Italian painter from Florence, influenced chiefly by Tommaso Masaccio and Giotto di Bondone.
Rocket Stove Mass Heater. "heat your home with 80% to 90% less wood; exhaust is nearly pure steam and CO2 (a little smoke at the beginning); the heat from one fire can last for days; you can build one in a day and half; folks have built them spending less than $20"
Because a Rocket Stove pushes gas along the exhaust flue, there will be pressure inside trying to squeeze gas out through any cracks. During combustion there may be Carbon Monoxide and Nitrogen Monoxide present in the fumes. Both gasses are toxic so any exposed metal pipe inside the building should be thoroughly sealed to make sure no gas can escape. In the bench above the whole flue is sealed with cob (sand, clay and straw). Follow the picture back to www.naturalhomes.org to find out more.
