Bob in England, 1966. Just doing his thing one night. to me, his facial expression looks like part prayer, part sexual ecstasy, and partly as if he's slipped free of his ego boundaries (in the Eastern spiritual sense.) In truth, they're all part of the same transcendant experience. By this time, he's gone electric which would explain so much.
a retired clergyman took this now-famous photograph in 1966. He intended merely to photograph the elegant spiral staircase the "Tulip Staircase" in the Queen's House section of the National Maritime Museum in Greenwich, England. Upon development, however, the photo revealed a shrouded figure climbing the stairs, seeming to hold the railing with both hands. Experts, who examined the original negative concluded that it had not been tampered with. unexplained footsteps have also been heard.
