This modern-style bookcase pairs an entertainment center with a bookcase. Able to hold CDs, records, books, magazines, audio/video equipment, and a television, this bookcase turns a blank wall into a ton of storage. All of the designer’s proceeds from the sale of this plan will be donated to Habitat for Humanity.
This “vertical loft” was part of a historical restoration project in Rotterdam, designed by Dutch architectural firm, Shift. A three-story bookcase replaced one of the main structural walls in the home, stretching to every floor. The adjacent staircase provides easy access to the large collection. It’s a good thing we don’t live here, since we’d probably never leave the house.
Yarn Stash Storage I like the idea of glass fronted shelves for storing my stash, possibly an old china cabinet. The glass will keep small children and cats away from it (more the cat than the child), but still mean I can see what I have to play with.
