Henna Hands! Loved using this with our Ancient India unit. We did one guided hand and the other the kids did on their own with papers showing ideas for designs. We didn't have time to double mount on green or orange, but they still look great! I will do this every year!
LOVE THESE DECORATIVE WALL HANGINGS! create 3 symmetrical radial designs on 6x6" sketch paper, later transfer designs onto 36-gauge aluminum and use tools to emboss them. Black India ink was painted onto the surface of the embossed metal and later buffed away using steel wool. Use wire to hang the three pieces together and added small craft mirrors to each one to create the final decorative wall hanging (From The Calvert Canvas: School Art Camp)
This project takes a day to paint the background with free-form shapes and brilliant colors, then to dry. On day 2, take 10-15 minutes to "blow" the ink into spider-y stems across our papers. (Yes, water-soluble liquid black ink, not paint).
