Cliff Richard - Britain's biggest music star, pre-Beatles. Initially a skiffle performer, he moved into Elvis style rock & roll in 1957 and had a string of big hits with his band, the Shadows, through the mid-'60s. Later, his music evolved into pop and Christian genres. In total, he released over 100 albums and had at least one hit per decade into the new millennium.
