Is there an English equivalent of this word? I'm not so sure there is one. (For your reference, '눈' means 'eye' and '치' roughly means 'leaning to any side' in Korean. So the literal meaning of '눈치' is about 'side glancing' to sense others' moods.)
Definitely one of my favourite words, I've heard it bears some resemblance with "saudade" but I like it better, and someone said it was more like: a sort of homesickness for a state of mind and/or feeling.
