1914 Lavender bag - Made from purple lawn, handstitched. The handle is covered in metal foil held in place with metal threads in a criss cross pattern. The posy is decorated with concentric circles of multicoloured embroidery of flowers and leaves in silk thread with a surround of machine made lace of metal and green thread. Day dress, Toronto, 1910. Skirt has an asymmetrical overskirt slanting from hem to knee at the side seam. The skirt has no train, but is longer in the back than in the front. High lace collar and beaded and embroidered passementerie appliqued above the waist. Custom-made at Eaton's department store.
