Everything you need and nothing you don't when packing your bag for the hospital for giving birth. ALSO a few items you didn't even think of!!!

Do you remember my last hospital bag packing post? It's one of my most popular posts. So given that it's been over two years since I wrote that post, I figured it was about time I update

Many parents who gave up their children to the hospital left them with identifying tokens to make sure they could recognise them at a later date. London's Foundling Museum has a vast collection of small objects such as coins, buttons and thimbles which were used in this way.

Simple items such as buttons and thimbles were often used as identifying tokens. I used a button as one of the items left with baby Matthew (Gus).

You will love more passionately, hurt more deeply, grieve more bitterly, and celebrate more joyfully throughout the process of caring for vulnerable children than you ever thought imaginable. We must be willing to walk down this path, for their sake. As we do, our embracing of their brokenness paints a vivid picture of how Jesus embraced ours.

The agents on the orphan train, the sisters at the New York Foundling Hospital, and the adoptive/foster parents all agree.

Texas still denying adoptees original birth certificates 2015 I am an adult victim of a gray market adoption and because of this, I have no access to my genetic makeup or medical history of my family...not even my birth hospital records. I am in the same boat as many other adoptees at the mercy of the state of Texas. My rights are violated and my adult daughter deserves her rights to know her roots and medical history. It is up to each State.

To lose a child is to lose a piece of yourself. Absolutely. Grief, bereavement, miscarriage, loss of child.
