Belle Isle is the largest public park in the U.S. located at the edge of the Detroit River as it expands into Lake St. Clair. It borders Detroit, MI, USA and Windsor, Ontario, Canada. It is 985 beautiful acres filled with Historic sites, a marble fountain, native animals, canals, a yacht club, picnic shells, terrarium & a beach. It houses a police precinct as well as the Border Patrol. The Children's Zoo, horseback riding, canoe rental, & giant slide have all in times' past, closed.
