This is a great little writing activity to use after reading the story "Little Cloud" by Eric Carle. The story is about a little cloud that changes into different objects. Students will write about a shape or object that they have seen in the clouds, and then draw a picture of what they saw!

This file includes a cloud writing template and a sun writing template. The cloud writing template was used for weather forecasting, where the students wrote their weather forecast and then drew a picture of their forecast. The template was also used for a thank you letter (adjusted to include a dear____ and sincerely, _____). The sun writing template was used for a cinquain poem on summer. It can be adjusted for other poetry writing.
