A Fall scene with Ruth, with Jaxom on his back, surging into the fore to sear the Thread from the Ruathan skies. Ruth is flying with a queens wing: the golden dragons in the background have riders operating flamethrowers. A fighting scene that is executed excellently. © Copyright by Doknar.

An earlier scene in which Ramoth is glowing golden and ready to rise. She is blooding her kill and on to her second wherry. The bronzes in the background are excited and also blooding their kills so they can fly high and strong in the hopes of a good mating flight, a flight for which Pern had to wait far too long... Lessa, in red, is admonished not to let Ramoth eat her wherries but to only blood them. © Copyright by Doknar.
