Day 45 #lose100 Weigh-in Wednesday Two weeks ago I was finally under 280 after a decade of being above 280.  One week later I was above 280 again.  It was discouraging but also a reminder about how easy it is to slip back into old bad habits.  Once again I am under 280, weighing in at 279.  Lord I pray for the strength to never return and I also ask that you pray the same for me also. “Run for your lives! And don’t look back or stop…” - Genesis 19:17 NLT Elliptical 20 minutes 1.82 miles…

Day 31 #lose100 Praises! Praises! Praises! Today is what I will be calling Weigh In Wednesday. The results are both fantastic and very encouraging. Over the last 10 years I have been yo-yoing between the low 300s and the low 280s. Whenever I would get in to the low 300s, I would get motivated to lose weight only to make it to the low 280s before finding myself back in the 300s. Well today for the first time in 10 years I am 279 lbs. This is monumental for me. I am down 24 lbs since I started…

This is what I truly needed to hear!!! Be Clear In Your Understanding of God's Commandment of Love of One Another. - John 13:34, "A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another." - http://access-jesus.com/John/John_13.html & Psalms 118:8, "It is better to trust in the LORD than to put confidence in man." - http://access-jesus.com/Psalms/Psalms_118_8

Sometimes the things that bother us are simply proofs of our finite minds and God's infinite mind. But no matter what things confuse us, we can always trust God's goodness. ~ Click image and when it enlarges, click again to read this 1-minute devotion.

Day 39 #lose100 Today’s Crosswalk devotional was timely and encouraging.  Back on track and moving forward. A momentary stop is an opportunity for a fresh start. How did I lose the weight? I stayed hungry. A lot. I ate broccoli when all I wanted was a damn brownie. I exercised even though I was tired, it was raining, or I just didn't feel like it. I learned that special occasions are not a reason to overeat. When I slipped up, I pulled myself together and got right back on track. I didn't shy away from the scale. In short : There is no trick or secret to getting fit - just a hell of a lot of hard work and heartache.

In order to lose weight effectively, dieters are advised to combine their eating regime with an exercise regime which will allow them to burn any excess calories, thus making their attempts more efficient. Exercise is an acquired taste, however, and not everyone finds it to their liking. This makes an exercise regime arguably more of a hassle for the dieter than cutting the calories...
