PHOTOS: 10 Of The Most Frustrating Invasive Species
Worst Invasive Species: Grey Squirrels In 1876, a British banker released a pair of grey squirrels he brought from America into the wild for ornamental purposes, leading others to do the same. A century later, they've decimated native red squirrel populations. Grey squirrels don't actually kill their colorful brethren, but they do carry a disease that's deadly to red squirrels. Current estimates say that without action the native species could be extinct within 10 years.
9-21-12 A baby squerl was in my yard and was following me! He ran though the stream of water from hose and was cold. He let me pick him up and I put him in the bunny hole in my grass, and covered him with a dish towel. He slept a while, and had dryed. Last I saw, he was under the bird feeder looking thru the sunflower seed shells!! So cute. But,not as cute as those 2 bunnies last month.
