**Mexican Chocolate Sourdough Cupcakes/cake...quite tasty, not overly sweet, the paprika and cinnamon came through nicely, will add more chocolate next time (and maybe some coffee)...made a chocolate coffee frosting. Bob really liked it.

We loved, loved, loved this spice cake! The souring process is easy and worth…

Sourdough Spice Cake

can use a wee-more spice than I have noted. Feel free to jazz it up with an extra dash, at your pleasure.Step One: Mix the sourdough starter, flour, and milk together in a bowl. Cover and let it sour 7-8 hours (or overnight). The less amount of time you let it sit, the less “sour” it will be.

Sourdough Graham Crackers- I used 3 1/2 T molasses as the only sweetener, spelt instead of whole wheat, and doubled the cinnamon and added ground cloves. Delicious and more than sweet enough!
