1920s Dragon’s Breath Opal Ring. Dragon’s Breath is just glass, but it’s about as incredible as any naturally occurring stone. Depending on how the light hits it, it looks like amber, ruby, moonstone, or some sort of psychedelic amethyst.
Sally Hansen Nail Prisms #08 Amber Ruby. Is this not the most gorgeous thing you've ever seen? It's so richly colored, it's like fall in a bottle. It's even perfect for Christmas- doesn't it look like a warm crackling fireplace, green garland and golden ornaments? The color shift in this is very strong and very dramatic. It can go from red and amber to all green and gold in a split second.
Pair of dragons presenting a heart-shaped amber, buried 1647-1658. From the tomb of Lady Chen, wife of Tong Bonian, in Dengfushan outside of the Zhonghua gate, Nanjing. Amber and ruby; gold with repoussé and filigree designs. Nanjing Municipal Museum.
