Here is Golding’s ironmongers in Bedford in 1906- now the longest surviving High Street business, still trading as a general ironmongers. The window display at Golding’s remains the same in all essentials as it did a century ago, though now there is a slightly-recessed 1950s shopfront, and a modern steel shutter, which descends when the shop is closed. #UK #history #localhistory
A CLEVER FAKE: Saatchi & Saatchi, ca. 1978, Advertising Campaign - The poster in the back was part of a famous advertising campaign in the UK.
