Are you, or do you know someone who is, a volunteer Santa Claus on Long Island? Those who annually wear the red suit are invited to attend the competition at the Garden City Hotel! Participants will be judged on appearance, laughter, their ability to hoist a sack in one fluid motion and jolliness. “Santa Roll Call” will be held on Monday, December 22nd 2014 at 12PM.

Join in the fun of the Holiday Festival at Tanger Outlets at the Arches this year by purchasing the LIRR Getaway Package! The package includes a train ride to Deer Park, a shuttle to and from the outlets and lots of merry events, like a performance by Jesse McCartney! This event will take place Saturday, November 22nd.

On December 20th, join the American Red Cross & the Islanders for a special Blood Drive Event, where donors can earn free tickets to an New York Islanders Game by simply donating blood! What a great way to give back to the community, and watch your favorite local team play for free! The blood drive will take place at Nassau Coliseum on Saturday, December 20 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

For the first time ever the MTA LIRR has established specific on-time performance goals that it would like each of it's 11 branches across Long Island, NY to accomplish.
