Sept 28-the GIANTS played San Diego at Petco, the GIANTS home away from home. The crowd was full of SF GIANTS fans making a lot of noise. The GIANTS scored early and held on. A series of errors in the 6th inning put Padres runners on the bases, but only one managed to score a run. Buster Posey added on to his batting average, going 2 for 4 with a triple. Final score: GIANTS 3, Padres 1.
June 26-our 2nd game in the series against 'dem Bums from LA. And what a great game! The Melk Men were out in force, doing the Melk Shake when their hero went yard, Vogey's pitching was phenomenal and the GIANTS bats just kept on coming. 2 shutouts in a row! Final score: GIANTS 2, Dodgers 0.
Thursday, March 22nd-although Timmy was scheduled to pitch tonight's game against the Rockies, he got back to his roots instead and pitched to the Angels farm team, who scored 4 runs from 6 hits. On the + side? He struck out 6. The outing was meant to keep his rhythm going, and also to keep the Rockies from getting a free peak at The Freak!
Oct 24-1st game of the 2012 World Series, and Barry Zito was on the mound for the GIANTS. Justin Verlander, who is considered the best pitcher in baseball took the mound for the Tigers. The GIANTS drove Verlander off the mound after the 4th, while Zito got an RBI and pitched through 5 2/3, allowing only 1 run. Timmy was the GIANTS 1st reliever, pitching 2 1/3 perfect innings. Panda hit 3 HR's tying the record held by Babe Ruth, Reggie Jackson & Albert Puljos. Final score: GIANTS 8, Tigers 3.
Aug 30-last game in the series in Houston. Looks like Murph packed the brooms. Oh it started out badly, but the GIANTS launched a rally in the 5th, and didn't stop until the game was over. Final score: GIANTS 8, Astos 4.
April 11-After a day of rest, GIANTS played the Rockies again, but with a different result. Rockies were ahead 6-0 leading into the 4th, but the GIANTS evened up the score and pulled ahead 7-6. Scheirholtz got the rally started with a HR, followed by a Crawford HR. Rockies responded loudly. Scheirholtz managed another HR, but in the end, it was Rockies 17, Giants 8. It was not a fun game to watch. The good news? Tomorrow is another day.
June 16-they always say "there's no place like home" and I was really hoping that would be in Timmy's favor. It didn't start off looking good, though, when the Mariners scored 2 solo HRs in the 1st. The GIANTS rallied in the 3rd and 4th, and Timmy pitched like the Timmy of old in innings 2, 3, and 4. The Mariners staged a comeback in the 5th and 6th and the GIANTS gave up 5 more runs. Final score: Seattle 7, GIANTS 4.
