Omo Misha means “Misha’s children” in Yoruba. It is a name that has come to identify artist, Misha McGlown, and her myriad creative endeavors. Life stories. Trials. Triumphs. Failures, even. The subjects of my portraits are chosen for their stories - their visions, individual accomplishments or, perhaps, unanswered questions about their live.

The 2013 Harlem Art Walk Tour (HAWT™) kicks off with an Artist Reception on Friday, October 11th at 7:30PM – 9:30PM at Artist & Craftsman Supply, 2108 Adam Clayton Powell Blvd., and continues with the tour on Saturday, October 12th and Sunday, October 13th from noon to 6pm at over twenty-five venues throughout Central Harlem (free).
