LOS ANGELES / KOREATOWN:  Robert F. Kennedy Community Schools in Los Angeles cost $578 million to build, making it America's most expensive public school to date.  The schools, which will educate more than 4,000 students, grades K through 12, stands on the site of the former Ambassador Hotel, where Kennedy was shot in 1968.  The schools used some of the hotel's original tile and design details.  As seen in this photograph, the auditorium has gilded pillars and an orchestra pit.

The Ambassador Hotel in Los Angeles had an outdoor plunge (swimming pool) in the The elaborate building housed gentleman's and ladies' changing rooms and later the Lido conditioning salon/spa and Palm cafe dining room.
