Historical Figure / Facebook Project - kids create a Facebook page for a famous person (scientist, historian, author) or character in a book they've read. Comes with blank template, an example page, and directions... I'm thinking this is a great substitute activity!
Benjamin Franklin Fact Plate. Students watch a short biography and read Benjamin Franklin: His wit and wisdom from A-Z" by Alan Schroeder. Students then create a fact plate using 3-7 facts that they have learned describing Benjamin Franklin. This lesson correlates with the Social Studies GPS for 4th grade.
Our Biography Lapbooks came out so great - they met our research standards and we had so much fun doing it! Great for grades 1-3 for sure, and I've even had comments from middle school teachers that have used it too!
