Castle Coch, near Cardiff ~ Well worth the visit, a magical Victorian interpretation of a Medieval castle. This detail is from the ceiling of the drawing room, my favourite room of the castle with so much detail to see. Even the walls were painted from top to bottom with scenes from Aesops fables!
Dome of the Pantheon, Rome. 125-128CE. (fig 6-48 page 199)This temple has a very isolating effect on those who stand in the middle of it. It has coffers that lead up to the oculu, or central opening. The light from the oculus moves around the room throughout the day much the way the sun does. -Adri (Brick, concrete, marble veneer)
