Sparta – Feyenoord (1970) Trains do only stop at the station at matchdays. Start with Excelsior by taking tram 24 or 21 to Esch (hop off at Woudestein). Take back the same tram and change at Beurs. Here you take tram 23 to Beverwaard (get down at Feyenoord stadion). For Sparta, take the tram from the Feyenoordstadium back to Beurs and get tram 8 to Spangen. You can also take the tube, but not sure which station you should get down

November 27, 1942. The big bell of the Beurs of Berlage is removed from the tower by the German occupier. Especially in the period July 1942-March 1943 many bells were removed from Dutch church towers and shipped to Germany, where they were melted down for the German war industry.
