These are a fine pair of Derby porcelain figures of Summer and Winter from the French Seasons set. Both are in nice condition, Winter just has a few small chips to the faggots and bocage and a minor nick to the base whereas Summer has a few nibbles to the sheaf and the bocage. We can't detect and restoration to either piece. They date to c1780 - 1790 and really do make a nice pair together. Both figures have incised marks with Winter also having fairly distinct patch marks.

A late 18th Century Derby figure of Venus and Cupid, Venus dressed in a layered patterned robe with her arm in the air, Cupid by her side reaching for the contents of her hand, both before an encrusted bocage and raised to a blue and gilt scroll base, red anchor mark, circa 1770

This is an extremely rare, possibly unique, Derby porcelain biscuit figure of "Summer" from the series The Four Chelsea Seasons, c1775. Summer stands around 5 inches high and is clearly marked to the base with the incised mark No 125 and also with an incised number 3 which will be the size. There is also the remains of an old collector's sticker. Condition is also very good, all we can detect are some very minor nibbles to the flowers, leaves, bocage etc.
