Photograph taken by Linda of Paul, Stella and James McCartney. A much loved and modest farmhouse in High Park on the Kintyre Peninsula in Scotland in 1982. Paul bought the small farm after the breakup of the Beatles in 1970 and it saved him from the drug and the heavy drinking scene of London nightclubs. The simple lifestyle inspired him to write the song, The Long and Winding Road.
James Paul McCartney (b. June 18, 1942) was a Beatle until the break up in 1970. In the 70s he formed Wings. He has been married three times: Linda McCartney (1969-1998), Heather Mills (2002-2008), and Nancy Shevell (2012-). In the mid-60s he dated actress Jane Asher. He has three children with Linda, a daughter with Heather, and an adopted daughter from Linda's previous marriage. He is the winner of 15 Grammies (10 with the Beatles).
