Dan Brown (born June 22, 1964) is an American author of thriller fiction who is best known for the 2003 bestselling novel, The Da Vinci Code. The Da Vinci Code is a 2003 mystery-detective novel which follows symbologist Robert Langdon and cryptologist Sophie Neveu as they investigate a murder in Paris's Louvre Museum and discover a battle between the Priory of Sion and Opus Dei over the possibility of Jesus having been married to Mary Magdalene.
I loved this book!! It was as though I was traveling through Florence and Venice with Robert Langdon. The descriptions and action made it such a fun and exciting read. I do believe this is Mr. Brown's best novel yet.
East by Edith Pattou. When many in her poverty-stricken family fall ill, a white bear appears and says that if the youngest daughter, Rose, will accompany him, the family's fortune will change. Rose agrees to travel to the white bear's home, a castle far-away. In doing so, she must uncover the secret of what happens in the castle at night. It's not your standard fairytale but it is one of my most favorite books.
