bäckahästen (the brook horse in english). It's from old scandinavian folklore and is often described as a majestic horse that would appear near rivers and lakes, especially during foggy weather. It would lure children to ride on it's back, and once you've climbed up, you cannot get down. The horse then jumps into the river, drowning the riders.
