Florida sea turtle babies! Today is the start of sea turtle nesting season on Florida’s Atlantic coast. Florida’s beaches are important nesting habitat for sea turtles, so we ask coastal residents and visitors to remember a few basic rules to help protect turtles: ~ It is against the law (Federal & State laws) to touch or disturb nesting sea turtles, hatchlings, or their nests. Most Floridians have a special fondness for these wonderful creatures.
