Mrs. Kelly's Kindergarten- Literacy center ideas. Some great ideas for literacy activities - easy to organise :-)

I like the idea of having words the kids have to create. Currently for word work, my kids can spell anything. But often they end up just creating crazy strands of letters to see how many magnets they can get on the board.

Mrs. Bremer's Kindergarten: literacy centres

Maybe use this instead of my current word wall sheet. Need some alphabet stamps though. and I would add a sentence requirement on the bottom. :) This could work for just alphabet too!

Literacy Work Stations

Sight word bottles - water and glitter in small bottles - with letter beads that spell a sight word. Give list of words and they have to figure out which word is in that bottle. (other great ideas at link)
