Australian War Memorial to the 102,000 Australian dead of WWI & II at Hyde Park Corner, a semicircular curved wall of grey-green Verde Laguna granite from Jerramungup, names of 47 battles which Australia were involved  23,844 towns which the soldiers were born carved, with water running down over them. Designed by Tonkin Zulaikha Greer  Laurence. Unveiled 11.11.2003. 3,000 present at the unveiling, incl 25 Australian veterans, the ceremony ended with flypast of Jaguars 54 Sqdn RAF.

WWI, 3 August 1917; Two days after he was promoted to Captain, Cpt Roy H Blashki MID, AIF,  was killed in action on the Menin Road, Ypres, aged 23. He is buried at Vlamertinghe New Military cemetery.
