In 1971, geologists discovered a 300-feet-wide gas-filled cavern in the Karakum Desert, Turkmenistan, Central Asia. Fearing the gas would seep into the village, they decided to burn the methane instead. It’s still burning to this day.
Wisconsin Dells Update: 03/12 we took the kids and they loved it. They enjoyed this more than the waterpark. My kiddos are 6, 4 and 2. It was a great experience. Our leader wasn't all that friendly nor talkative but it didn't matter because it was our adventure!
